The artisan company Manetti Silvana was born in 1973 from Lido and Silvana’s passion for straw creations.
For almost forty years of activity, thanks to the contribution of our sons, we have refined a high quality production capable of creating unique items both by combining materials, such as technical fabrics or canvas with leather, and entirely in leather.
All the items we produce are made within the laboratory at every stage, with ability, dedication and commitment without compromise to ensure extreme care and high reliability.

The apparent simple but pleasant shape of the Manetti creations aims to meet the practical needs of the purchaser but it also want to offer “life tools” that will enhance themselves with age.
That is why the selection of materials is fundamental and we only use leather from the most experienced Tuscan tanneries, where vegetable tanning is an age-old tradition.
This eco-friendly process requires about 40 working days, during which the action of the natural tannins extracted from trunks, leaves, fruits and roots of plants and trees like chestnut or mimosa transform hides into a durable, soft, very versatile and unique material.
The raw hides, with their natural imperfections and uneven texture, are subjected to a slow transformation as they are tanned in wooden casks, using a process that respects the environment and the people. Subsequently they are handled and finished applying a combination of handcrafting and advanced technology.
At the end of this cycle, no skin is like the other. The natural texture of the grain, the different pore size, neck wrinkles and even small insect bites and scars become precious features thanks to our expert crafting and cutting, and contribute to make each creation a unique expression of individuality that goes beyond any fashion or trend.
